Vintage Sports Cars
In true Devon fashion, this was a rather underplayed affair. I first heard of it from a short article in the local paper, two days before the event. It was advertised as being from 11am to 4 pm but when we arrived just before 12 it appeared as if they were just entering the end of the 'getting ready' stage. One horseshoe throwing stall was operating, a lady was standing around with (I think) National Trust details and some other stalls were setting up.
But, the cars! There were two lines of them, no one to explain and no notices to reveal. They stood alone in all their glory. I think the owners, who must have spent hours of time not to mention a lot of cash to get them ready, must have thought that they spoke for themselves - and they did!
Carol had drifted off while I was taking Photos and did get in conversation with someone concerned with the Morgan sports car club. I think he was really impressed when she said she preferred the Citroen as it reminded her of Maigret!
